Your First Appointment: Step by Step
On your first visit, you will be welcomed and checked in by our front desk staff, then settled into a calm, comfortable treatment room. Your hygienist will review your dental and medical history before any chair time begins. A thorough oral examination by an experienced dentist and a professional cleaning by a registered hygienist are included. Digital X-rays are taken only when clinically needed.
Your dentist will explain any findings and discuss treatment options in plain language, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You will leave your first visit with a clear, written treatment plan and honest information about any next steps, no surprises. If treatment is needed, we always present your options and honest costs, so you decide when you are ready to move forward.

Children’s First Visits: What Parents Can Expect
For children’s first visits, we focus on making it gentle and fun, sometimes starting with a visual exam and meeting the dentist, and saving cleaning or dental work for a later visit if needed. We may request necessary X-rays to evaluate areas we cannot see visually during a child’s first visit. We are happy to work with parents so that visits feel positive and supportive for children.
When and How Often to Visit
We recommend most people visit for a check-up and cleaning every six months, but your schedule might vary depending on your needs.
Emergency, Walk-In, and Same-Day Care
You are welcome to visit us if you need urgent care, a routine cleaning, or have specific concerns, same-day appointments may be possible for emergencies. We bill most insurance providers directly, including CDCP and NIHB, and can help you confirm your coverage in advance.
